| Message | i think you will be fine. there will always be critics and lovers though as tastes and opinions differ. with every critique, you learn something new, but only take in what you feel is right. as long as theres heart in the piece, thats all that matters since one can literally feel it upon viewing. good luck my dear. ttyl. |

| Message | Hi SoMeOne (PART 2) Consider this though: No, I am not an expert on global issues (thought they do interest me). I am, however, able to share personal experiences in hopes that someone might identify with me, or even have something profound to add. It’s a win-win situation if two people gain new perspectives! Even you and I communicating from our opposite ends is beneficial. I agree that “Western” cultures tend to be self-centered—but I also think that Australia can be included in this mindframe. I can’t assess which country is “more” self-centered than the next, because I know it’s not my place to make that judgement. As difficult as it was to read your critical opinions, I’m glad you came by to share them, SoMeOnE. |

| Message | Hi SoMeOne (PART 1) Traditionally, a ‘diary’ is what you described. However, we now have the opportunity to share experiences amongst audiences of thousands—and that to me, is something worth taking advantage of (even if some people consider blogs like this trivial). I always wanted to have a stronger, better informed opinions on current affairs and politics. But to be honest, no matter how may conspiracy theories shock me—and no matter how many heated political debates I listen to; it ultimately drives me away. There is just something about corrupt governments and authoritative figures that makes me VERY weary. Perhaps it’s because I know I have VERY little power to control such issues. Perhaps it’s because it truly depresses me to think about how corrupt our society really is—so I’d rather not. So please understand that because these areas “turn me off”, the majority of my thoughts revolve elsewhere. I understand this is why you view me as ‘self-centered’—and perhaps you’re correct, to some extent! |

| Message | Wow, I'm back. FYI, I don't know what 'BLOG' means on your planet, but I thought by definition, it is a diary or journal posted online. That's the problem I have with it, the online-ness. A diary is leather bound with a lock and key. Your thoughts are your thoughts for a reason. There may be many things wrong with Australia, we're 'backwards' if you like, if you buy into that crap. But surely to goodness we are not as self absorbed or have not completely succumbed to the greatest human flaw: religion. (Talking specifically about America here. Obama: "God bless you. And God bless the United States of America" - every time, apparently giving America what it wants). Not sure about Canada's secularism? |
