I read this story in Margaret Ronan's book "House of Evil" as a child. I found the book in an old bookshop in Sydney and looked up the chapter devoted to this story on the internet. Quite fascinating! My eight year old daughter is trying to figure out who Gef is. In Ronan's book she incorrectly states that the house was sold in the 1950's, after Jim Irving died and that Gef's voice grew more feeble during WWII.
Enjoyed your sight and the photos bring a 'human touch' to it. Long live Gef's memory!

Thanks for helping keep the story of Gef alive! Funnily enough, so much of the world has forgotten about him. Your page is a fantastic, fun mix of crazy theories and hard evidence. Keep up the good work! Ya know Gef is pleased with you. Cheers!
Pick up Nandor Fodor's Between Two Worlds! It has a great chapter on Gef and Viorrey. According to this book, she married and moved to Leeds, according to the Fate magazine interview, she never married.
She doesn't seem to want to be found! I wonder if she's still alive.

This page is great! I heard about Gef through Mysterious Universe, that cited this page. I think I love the little Gef. I just ordered a copy of Fate magazine and am gathering up as much info as I can about the case.
Gef never fails to cheer me up!
