MessageAs with many others, I first discovered SAHB in the 70's and was privilidged to see them many times during those years, and like most people who got to see them I became a disciple of everything that was SAHB. Alex was and remains a genius in my eyes, ZAL is without doubt the finest performer I have ever seen and SAHB as a unit utterly explosive.

I have every album they ever made (and did have both Tear Gas albums as well - sadly no more).

My greatest memory (among many) was being at the bar at Reading festival when Faith Healer began and watching the entire space empty as people rushed to find out what that incredible opeing was all about - something that I thought I had embellished in my own mid, until I read Martin Kielty's book, only to see it confirmed.

To be able to see you guys playing live again is like living a second childhood. My wife and I flew to Glasgow from Luton to see your Christmas show this year and it was utterly fabulous. We are great fans of 'Dream Team' as well so the 'compare' was a welcome surprise.

It would be a great shame if it all ended now as I have 2 sons (both musicians) who would love to see you play.

If it does come to that then thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the memories.

Favourite SAHB song - has to be Give My Compliments to the Chef. smilie

MessageBoys, thanks for a great gig in nantwich, you're rockin' as good as ever and Max is a really good front man but with material as good as that it must be easier! Livo

MessageJust got back from Nantwich which was an excellent gig. Performing the songs in their original form was a great idea. Somehow Alex's humour came flooding back even more ! The band is really tight too now, Max is the best frontman we've seen (including Velvet Revolver's poser last night in Wolverhampton) and it would be a shame to let the vibe go ! The guitarist can take another bow for doing an excellent job at so short notice he rushed ut without any footwear !

We last saw the band in Bilston in early December where Zal seemed frustated by technical probs, but we still had a great time then too. Any SAHB gig is and always will be vambo. Thanks again for a great show. smilie

MessageI am 52 years old and I still remember seeing Alex and the boys in the mid-70's at Keil Auditorium in St Louis. They opened a show that included Montrose with Sammy Hagar and Foghat as the headliner. Well let me tell you SAHB rooled the night!! Never saw a live performance as good as that night's!!
I am desperate to find any video of the band from the 70's that could be purchased. DVD or VHS would be fine. I have seen the clips on Utube of a few songs from the old grey whistle stop. Is there anyway to get a copy of those songs?
