MessageDear Mark: What great news!! Here we are celebrating a THIRD Christmas after diagnosis!! Not many people gave us that hope, did they? However, thanks to Jesus, a merciful Savior, we are still here to bring glory and honor to His Name!!

I am so grateful for your latest test results!

MessageJust a little note Mark to wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas. I'm sure it will be, by definition, but you seem now to have touched so many people's lives - certainly on both sides of the Atlantic. (The other one may be in doubt, but this is MY idea of a 'special relationship' buddy!) smilie

MessageHi Mark!
How are you doing? I'm hanging in here - some good days, some bad days, but managing the art of of "muddling through"!

I do have some great news! My daughter's boyfriend Nick, proposed last Friday and they are getting married. I think it will be within the next 6-9 months - but he is currently working nights so I believe they want him back on days before they get married! I'm so thrilled and I know Ken has to be smiling too!
I have dreams where I feel someone roll over in the bed, and also someone putting their arm over my shoulder. I pray it's more than a dream, that Ken is able to be with me on some level. He's still around, he's just in another dimension that I can't see or touch. I miss more each day.
I miss talking to you and hearing the latest!
Let me know how you guys are doing -
Sending love and blessings to you, Missy and the family,
God Bless,
Nancy

MessageGeorge Chiasson met you and told you about me having pancreatic cancer and he said you wanted to talk to me. I am at MD ANderson today awaiting the removal of the pain pump due to infection that set in my back. Please forward me any information you can on pancreatic cancer to the emial address provided. You seem to have been such an inspiration to George when the two of you spoke and I thank you for that. We just take one day at a time. Thank you for taking the time to help others. God bless

MessageMy brother posted something about my mom having pancreatic cancer and you responded with your positive news! It is so awesome the journey you have been on and the results you have received. We are all also relying on God to get us through this. My mom has such a positive attitude and it sounds like you do also. I will pray for you to stay NED! Praise God! Thanks for the encouraging words you sent back to my brother.

MessageMy JHU board name is Donna C in FL/now AZ. I am caretaker for my boyfriend Adrian, DX's 4/07; chemo/radiation & then Whipple (9/07) at M D Anderson; lung mets & bone mets DX'd 8/09...currently on Gemzar/Abraxene/Cisplatin +Zometa being given in Scottsdale, AZ. We live in the southeast part of Phoenix Metro area where I bought a home in March this year...previously we were in Pensacola, FL.

We're supposed to go to MDA in mid-November but will have to see how he's doing. He's been having problems with lung fluid, had a pleurodesis last month, now is back in the hospital because blood clots showed up in other lung and having problems with atrial fibrillation. It's always something.

MessageMy wife dx Apr/2010. stage 2b. no mets to major organs but had 4 of 20 lymph nodes positive. whipple May 2010, currently on track with chemo. Doing great so far. You are correct in your assessment of God's will. He closed several doors to us only to open new and better ones. He guided us to Johns Hopkins and, so far, His will is being done. Had we stayed the course on our first option I don't if I would be giving you this good report. God Bless you and thanks for the encouraging website. I will visit often and pray for you.

Messagehello,

i happened upon your website while searching for any positive news about metastic pancreatic cancer. my dad was diagnosed in june 2010 with what we thought was operable p.c., but after inital chemo and radiation, it was found in his liver also. he started gemzar and is not eligible for anything else because of low platelet count. your story gives us all hope....we pray for him to be well enough to complete his 'bucket list.' thank you for sharing your story.

MessageI friend of mine David Chiasson met you at MD Andersons. He is with his fiance who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He said you look great. I thought Patrick Swayze was the only one that lived a long time with the disease. Thank God for your great outlook and keep on keeping on.
JJ
