Miracle defined as A surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is considered to be divine. You have posted the stats and all of us affected by this disease know that the 5 year survival rate for stage IV PC is only 1%. November year 5 is only 21 days away... | Message | I had my panceas and spleen removed in 2009 due to stage 1 pan-cancer, with whipple surgery. Have managed to work and do well until Sept 2011 when low fever,pain and fatigue hit me. Local Dr said probable virus. Late Oct felt so bad went to emergerncy room where a CT scan showed an abcess. Scott/White Temple did fluid asperation showing trace amount of carcinoma. Scott/White Oncology said wait 3 months and see what developes. Fever and pain returned end of Dec. so Scott/White performed CT scan that showed fluid buildup and spots on liver. He said maybe a year or two with Gemzar 3 wks and 1 off. So.. I contacted MD Anderson and Dr Fogelman is to see me Wed Feb 1st. Thank you for your post-God Bless |
