| Message | Hi Bob, I was searching for my mother's obituary online and came across your website. Many members of my family, dating from 1832 to 2001, are buried in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Scott County. I'm from the Norton / Scharff clan and was born in Davenport, but moved to California in 1969. I lived in Davenport again from 1998 to 2002 and visited the cemetery several times. You did a great job of photographing the cemetery and headstones - thank your wife for me too, for doing such a good job! Are you interested in adding information to your site? I can add a little bit to the Scharff family as they're my parents, grandparents, and siblings, and possibly to one of the older Norton headstones. Great job! Thanks for all your hard work! |

I visited the cemetery with my grandmother in the spring of 1970 and have never had the opportunity to return.
