MessageStort tillykke med afsluttet uddannelse. Flot arbejde.

TAR

MessageHej Stephen, im confused wether to write in danish og in english. But here goes.

I wrote your diaries and I am astunnished, I really am. Your acomplishments are really inspirering, to me.

I carry the same dream to become a pilot in the RDAF, as you did. My road is just a bit bumpe right now, all the confusion wether there are gonna be a class, and if Im even gonna be in it.
But readig your diaries, was similair to tossing a barrel of fuel on an already blazing fire.

I Really Really hope I get the chance at the selection in Jonstrup, but I have great confidence, and a trust in fate, that the things i already have accomplished will help med og the long og tough jouorney it is to be among the few.

Espicially the diary's from FLSK inspired me, the passage where you just returned with all your gear, and your flightsuits, and you had to spent the night in them, and you wrote that, you didnt see it as a tough thing for you, that you actually will use it as a PJ. And the way you Praise your seat at FLSK in allmost your diary's.

I really hope that I will get my Pilot Name, and my night in my flightsuit.

Venlig hilsen
Simon Andersen

Held og lykke med det hele.

MessageI can see you´re trying to figure out where things are going.

Now your motivation has to come from within, but let me tell you this:

You are not the only one who dreams of flying, but one of the few you get to live it. When I grew up in my poor, alcoholic broken family, dreams like yours where just pure absurdity. It wasn´t in the cards. Then, after many years of trying to get a hold of things and learning all the self-esteem related stuff I lacked, I was finally at a point where I could plan my life more freely - and found myself beyond any age-limit to the careers I really wanted. So a decent bread-winning job is already more than I was heading for from the beginning, and is what I´ll get this time around. That´s what some of us other 98% have to deal with.

See, you came a long way. You got a chance some of us bad luckers would kill for. You didn´t get the ultimate, and that´s a tough one to accept, but still you got so much more than so many others.

You´ll know what´s best for you, but please consider. And greet the sky from me.

MessageHi there,

I can understand you disappointment, which hopefully has lessened somwhat by now, after all, it should still be one heck of an adventure and it most certainly will end up being a rewarding career nontheless.

Certainly being a fighter pilot would be great, but for the injured soldier or the capsized sailor, there will be no sight more welcome, than a helicopter coming to the rescue.
