MessageWe have been researching our family history and have found a letter to my husbands great great grandparents informing them of the death of their son Rhys in 1915 in France. It`s signed by Roger Bulstrode, a Chaplain. Is this the same person who became vicar of St Marys? We live in Neath, South Wales and would be grateful for any information you may have. Many thanks

MessageI have been researching my family tree and see I have a number of relatives from Kent in general and Nonington in particular.
You have a wonderful site, easy to view and informative. I hope to visit there someday soon.
Thank you

MessageI was born at 1 Church Villas in 1947. My dad was the village coalman.
I have seen the message from Margaret Allen (nee Scothorn). Her Nan and Grandad were my god parents!
Seeing her name brings back lots of memories

MessageVery impressive. I did quite a lot of Plumptre family history in the 1970s, but I uncovered much less than you have done about Nonington. There are disappointingly few family records at Little Fredville - only about one drawerful.

I now live in Rugby. But of course my brother John now lives at Little Fredville.

MessageI live in Rutland in a village called Barrowden. Whilst weeding the veggy patch, it was once covered in old fir trees which we cleared and over the years old pottery, clay pipes, bottles have appeared, tonite I found a Kent Rifles Volunteers tunic button, hence being on this site. I found the history of the Rifles most interesting.

MessageLiebe Groothoffs, liebe Bruderhofgemeinde!
Renate Arends

MessageIn the fall of 2001, we (I'm the Dad, Maggie is my daughter) lived in Yew Cottage, Holt St. in Nonington. It's a lovely town, quiet and picturesque, and so close to Canterbury and Dover! We will remember Nonington fondly forever. We hope to return sometime soon! smilie

MessageHello Have been in Thailand now for two years and came here because it was simply too expensive to retire in the uk. Anyway I used to live in Mill Cottage in Chillenden and would like you to extend your coverage to there. Had some great times in the pub at Nonington and also the Griffins Head. Also knew some really nice people at the old college which is now owned by a religious community Bruderhof Would love to see the old place again and will visit soon Really good site and it is nice to see it online here in Thailand
