| Message | Dear Mr. Darren Aronofsky,
I felt a sudden need to tell you about how much I love your films, I've thoroughly enjoyed every movie you've made. I'll be majoring in cinema next year with the hopes to become a movie director and screenplay writer. I understand the fact that the film industry is a very risky business for me to get into, but I'm completely willing to take that risk to do what I'm passionate about. And you are actually on of the biggest reasons that I decided that I wanted to direct for a living.
And I think it's clear to everyone who has seen all of your movies that one of your biggest fortes is your skill in making the audience feel sympathy for the characters. For example, my favorite scene from Requiem For A Dream is when Ellen Burstyn is watching tv, still with the hopes of being on the show, and the fridge repeatedly moves and terrifies her. That scene really made me want to cry, I didn't because I'm a macho man of course and I did my best to hold it in. It was such a powerful scene that I felt was the saddest for many reasons. And The Fountain, my personal favorite, really made me feel sympathetic towards Hugh Jackman's character, trying to cope with his wife's terminal illness and especially the night his wife died and he was tattooing his finger.
If you've read this far, I would be honored to get a response from you, even if your response is a simple hello or smiley face, just a message from you would be amazing to me |
