| Message | Darren, ever since Pi (which I really like, except the ending of him taking the drill to his head), have been a devoted fan of your work. You are a singular talent. For my money, right up there with David Fincher, Michael Mann and Polanski. If you continue in the same vain as you have to date, you may just end up in the Kubrick/Bergman/Welles/Kurosawa territory. It's a shame that you had such a tough time making The Fountain. Bought the DVD, but it stinks they couldn't put your commentary on it too. It's one of the best sci-fi films of recent years and certainly one of the most unique looking. The scenes in space were unbelievably beautiful. Ignore the critics and the girly fans who didn't like it. You have a vision and it's pretty astounding. Can't wait for you next work. Movies are going through a rought time these days and your stuff is like a breath of fresh air. Best of luck to you. I really hope to watch your films for a long, long time.
