| Message | I also remember:- PE teacher Mr Edwards Pupils: ? Spillane who forgot his lines in The Taming of The Shrew, I think it was. Janet McAlpine Lois Hammond who I served with in Cyprus 1964 - 1966 when we were both RAF Air Movements Officers and who went to live in New Zealand where her sister was married to a merchant navy officer. Roger Ward who became an RAF helicopter pilot. I remember being in A Midsummer Night's Dream produced by my arch-enemy Kevin Callan and I remember Gilbert & Sullivan - The Mikado, Trial by Jury, and The Pirates of Penzance. Sapientia ex Igne! |

| Message | One of the Norris twins, I live in the South West. My twin, Philip Norris (also Drake) lives in East Anglia. I "fagged" for a guy whose surname was Esau. Kevin Callan, English teacher and arrogant **** who I heartedly disliked, once caned me when I took an extra slice of cheese on toast in the dining hall because I was starving! I owe him one! I remember ? Yelland, French teacher and Miss Marter (spelling?), I remember crush pins! Pupil names I remember:- James Hanlon Roger Fellows (father was Drake house-master) ? I remember now all the names you mention, I just needed someone to jog the old memory. I had a signal lamp when I was there, and used to signal at night across from Rodney at Bonteheim to collingwood Fliegerdeich after lights out, was it you that used to signal back? although I never did master the morse code. Did you know Armin Pangbourne , Biff / Robert Jenkins Richard Stockdale , George Watson. Prefects for Rodney I recall were certainly John Else also George Barraclough & guy called Birtley a good opening batsma.Harry Chambers goalkeeper for school first team. . | Message | Fond memories of my time at P.R.S. I will join W.A. as soon as i can make contact. My father was in the army stationed in Berlin then Hook of holland.I visited P.R.S. twice in 1980-81 when I was working at an aircraft firm in Nordenham Germany- which is not far from Wilhelmshaven. I was amazed when I stumbled upon this site, I should have found it years ago. can remember some things from then I think the house master of rodney boys was called Mr follows and the head boy was john Else- Mr Pacey was head master of P.R.S.- I remember a teacher at the time miss Marter I think she taught history and another one miss Richards {english teacher} I think my laundry number was M8 its amazing the things you can remember. We used to listen to American forces network- from Bremerhaven in the mornings, before going on the bus to the main school for assembly in churchill house before lessons. I managed to get pneumonia while I was there after a cross country run followed by a swim across the frozen swimming pool, I was in the sick bay at the main school for several weeks. Any one remember me? |
