MessageHello,
I have enjoyed your video of the marble adding machine, a fascinating piece of work, alas the number of decimal places is too small to make it a device in the modern office.

There are only 10 types of people - those that understand the binary system and those who don't

Keep up the good work!

Siegfried

MessageThis site is exactly what i need for my project on the workings of an abacus! I have yet to look through much of this site, but the diagrams and tutorials have already interested me! There's only one question i have. Is there such thing as an abacus that has one heavenly bead and five earthly beads? smilie I'm just wondering if the abacus my teacher lent me was vandalized in some way. Knowing if i have some type of special abacus would be helpful. Once again, great site, thank you all. smilie

MessageVery nice website you've got here! Very informative and good pictures!

I came across you site, because I'm looking for a (modern day version?) of the scroll pen from which you can read the tables of multiplication. Something like the Kuli pen?
Doe anyone have an idea where I can get those?

Sincerely,

Jeroen

MessageI have a Sundstrand adding machine from circa 1948. The handle is pulled down and it is jammed. Otherwise great shape. Is it worth anything? Does anybody know?
