| Message | Found your site by accident. I live in Bristol but I was born and brought up in Buxton,North Derbyshire,in 1936. My father was Arthur and his father Herbert. If I can help anyone with what little information I have got, would be willing. We should have a clan gathering! I firmly believe the name is French though I would be happier if it wasn't. The Norman influence following the invasion was very strong in Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire. Ray |

| Message |  Hey JoeI am from Cape Town South Africa. I believe that my great grand father came from Britain. My dad who is 79 years old was very young when his father passed on and we do not speak much about the family or where they have originated from. My grandfather was a fisherman or so I have been told. I am 52years old and have 2 daughters Tayla 16 and Jade 27. I myself have 7 brothers and 2 sisters, a rather large family.
