| Message | Hey Ricky, NASCAR will never be the same without you. From one racer to another, I know that you could absolutely do more with less than any other driver ever. All with a classy attitude. I grew up out in the NW where my dad owned a couple short tracks. When I finally got my turn to race, I ran around the NW tracks for about 10 years. I had great success. When the money and bigger opportunities ran out, I quit racing and started a mobil (1rst class) NASCAR souvenir business called Motorsports Connection. I had a trailer full of all the drivers apparel, collectables, diecast, ect. but I always pushed the Ricky Rudd merchandise telling everyone that you are the greatest driver in NASCAR history. I am sure you know what kind of arguments that can start with all the NASCAR fan. I use to work with Angie from RPM. I enjoyed the heck out of her. I was fortunate enough to travel and set up with the Tide Ride. Being a huge Rudd fan, that was awesome. I know you could never remember this, but I was fortunate enough to get gargage passes one year to Phoenix, and you were great. You invited me to come up in your trailer with you to get your autograph as my wife took our picture. Bill Engel was your crew cheif and he also sign my hat. You ended up winning that day. On your way down from the tower, you recognized me and came over in front of everyone and said "Hey my buddy from Spokane, we did it". The next year we were in Dover, and you won there. Awesome! THANK U! Larry Anderson |
