MessageI have heard too many people recently use the word verbiage incorrectly, both in pronouncation and usage. (i.e. pronouncing as verbage and referring to wording used.) If you provide clarification in your blog, I would be appreciative.

MessageCould you write an entry on "in terms of"? I get the impression that people have started to abuse this phrase over the last few years, in order to sound academic or knowledgeable, but to me it just shows a lack of eloquence.

MessageIt is useful to try everything in practise anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)

MessageI should point out that you've neglected what is probably the most common use of "lacuna" which is a missing part of a text. That is, where the worm has eaten the page, the fire has removed a bit of the edge, or the page has been abraded, so that one can no longer determine the word that was there.
