| Message |  It was awfully standard, no decent places to stay, bad service in the local post office.. a slightly obese woman serving me didn't even smile once! Overall it wasn't great, would rather stay in Wales, and that's pretty rubbish as it is!Oh and may I add, Upper Welland wasn't too bad, it's the lower part that sucks.  |

| Message | i lived in welland in the 1940's. my father along with dick spenser ran the nursery. when we moved from hanley swan i remained at st.gabriel's there, then to st.richard's, little malvern, then royal grammar school worcester. i have fond memories of many villagers from that time. i was very happy in welland and knew the surrounding countryside and wild life intimately. thank you for the website. salut to all who live in welland.  |

| Message | Visited the village for the first time yesterday [12-09-2009] with my son John. Found it very interesting from the church to the local pubs on a day that the weather can only be called fantastic. I took a lot of photos which I have yet to put on the computer. | Message | Good to see the area many of my maternal family (Panting) lived and worked for many centuries. Living in the south east of England since soon after my birth (Bosbury, Herefordshire)in 1947 it is good to be in touch with my past ! |
