MessageHi Susan. I've been away for much of the summer and haven't read your blog for at least a month. I just read your critique of RR on Larry King. I'm still laughing. Especially about EVOO. Keep up the greatest food blog on the Web!

MessageHi Lily,

I agree. Larry really didn't seem to GET Paula. And it's funny, because I think you would have to be made of stone not to be charmed by her. Plus she has a very affecting life story that probably could have helped many viewers...if only he would have allowed her to talk about it unimpeded by lectures about her smoking and sordid past.

MessageI felt this was the worse interview that Larry King has ever given. He was a pompous ass!!! How dare he act so holier than thou with Paula Deen!! I was sick with anger!! It was rather amazing to me that someone like....oh....Paris Hilton got the utmost respect from him...he didn't question her but one time in regard to smoking pot. She has been video taped smoking pot. I guess it must be the "Southern Lady" that he found to be beneath him. Larry, I'm from the south, I have the southern drawl and I am very proud of it. I guess Larry needs to come down off of his high horse and sit with the real people, otherwise, he may loose what is left of his audience.

MessageHi Debbie,

Guy Fieri is A LOT better, though, than some of those folks who are on, who CANNOT cook.

About the ingredients, I assume that in the taping of the shows, stuff happens, and the changes in the recipes never make it to the written ones online. That’s why I try to note that if it happens on a show I’m covering.

Leftover béchamel is a dream come true. Make a lasagna or any layered pasta type thing. Spread the leftover béchamel over the top and dot with tomato sauce. Bake as usual. Yum. Or try a Croque Monsieur, a French grilled cheese. Go to about.com and search for Croque Monsieur. (Sorry, I can't put a link here.)

MessageI miss Michael Chirello on Saturdays too! I do not care for the spikey hair guy too much!

do you know why sometimes the recipes and the tv shows do not always show the same ingredient????

Any ideas on what to make with the leftover bechemal cheese sauce from Tyler's Ultimate steak sandwich???

Debbie
