| Message | I just learnt that I have been alloted a 5-seater room at the Sharavati Hostel. It's on the newly constructed 5th floor. (I am a student of M.Sc in Physics). But the list is not in the website, yet. When will it come out at the website so that I can be sure? And is there any possibilty of getting a single seater or at least a double seater in the near future? |

| Message | Hi Reshma, You can contact the hostel office yourself and ask them. Lots of girls get accommodation during summers. You can also ask ur prof to provide u contact details of CCW office. They well help u in this regard. |

I got a proj. in IITM for summer and my prof is quite nt sure of my accom. so i jus wanted 2 kno if ppl 4m outside 4 projects r allowed 2 stay in girls hostel 4 a while(quite long) so that i can approach d concerned ppl 4 d same. Pls i request u 2 reply me asap as dis is of real concern 4 me.. thanks guys.. |

| Message | Hi , I am joining IIT Madras in August in the M.Sc course in Chemistry. I would like to know if there is any student here who has done the same, or is doing the same. I am nervous about staying in a hostel as this is the first time I'll be staying away from home. Can one please brief me about the hostel,its interiors and all. I do not know yet which hostel I have been alloted. Do I have the option of staying with a roommate or is it compulsory for me to stay alone in my room? I would be glad if someone comes forward to explain me about the workings of the hostel,hostel life,and what all are present in the hostel. Hoping to hear from one of you soon, Mahita |
