| Message | I am originally from Northumberland County and always knew the Fence had excellent food. I moved away from the area 4 years ago to be with my husband.Yesterday when we was in the area,I told my husband instead of going for "fast food" in the town of Lewisburg to stop in at the Fence Drive in. He told me he never heard of the place so I introduced him to it. When we pulled in, Right away we was greeted by a pleasant young woman who showed up menus and to take out time looking over the menu. I always loved their fish sandwich as recalled from a little girl,my mom and dad would order that particular sandwich and I remember hearing them say how delicious it was.I ordered their signature fish sandwich basket and my husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries along with a diet coke and reg coke. My husband was impressed on how good the food was,it was fresh,tasty and hot. He absoultely loved the fries and I reminded him their fries are freshly made there.There is nothing like fresh cut fries.  I am sad to know we wont be back in the area anytime soon but hopefully next summer when we are,That would be the one stop we will go to have a bite to eat. Thanks for always being on Rt 405 and I am sure I will have my children eat at your establishment!! |

| Message | Friends of mine who have visited central pa before told me about a great little mom and pop seafood drive in and told me if i was ever in the area that i had to stop in. They visited the fence last summer for the first time and said that not only was the food great but the service was amazing! When i told them i would be visting friends in pa they told me to stop by the fence and to ask for a waitress by the name of Alicia because thats who waited on them last summer! when i pulled in i asked the friendly girl if Alica was working and to my suprise she was. Not only was Alica helpfull and knowlagable about the food she also recomended the shrimp basket well let me just say YUMM-O! I never take the time out to fill these things out but this dinning experience was truley amazing! I will make sure to tell my frineds about The fence and next time i am in Central Pa i will stop in to see Alicia and the rest of the frindly staff at the fence! thank you and keep up the good work!  |

| Message | I worked at the fence way back when Mrs Reitz was the owner. I started out working in the kitchen (was only 14 yrs. old) washing dishes and then I moved up to counter girl and when I turned 16 I was officially a " car hop". Those were the days!!!! I worked with Doris Specht and Charlotte Neitz and Mafalda Reichenbach. Great great ladies. I always get to the fence about 10 times during the summer. What memories!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! |

| Message | Love your fish sandwich. I stop by for one (or maybe two) each time I'm back in the area. I have enjoyed The Fence Drive-In since 1965. Hope the floodwaters stay low, 'cause I'd really miss you if you got washed into the Susquehanna (again) .  |

| Message | The BMW Dutch Country Riders has designated The Fence as the Northumberland County destination in its 67-County All-Pennsylvania scavenger hunt for 2006. A photo must be taken of a designated interesting site in each county, with certain requirements for each photo. When a BMW motorcycle rides up for lunch, be prepared for a nice request for a photo with a smiling waitress standing next to his or her BMW. Tell them you knew they were coming. We tip well! Thanks for the great food and very cool historic restaurant. |
