Situated on the quieter side of Kendal which was much nicer. very friendly informal atmosphere, really felt 'at home.' Room was more than adequate as was breakfast. Sheila and her husband are keen travellers/walkers who were willing and able to advise us as too the local walking routes. Would definitely visit again.

This was the halfway point on our Lands End to John O'Groats cycle challenge last August. We arrived tired after 90 miles. We left re-energised and climbed Shap with a special "mountaineers" breakfast inside us and recorded our quickest leg of our trip. This place is special and the owners understand a bit about outdoor life and adventure and it shows in what they do; looking after their guests extremely well. Thanks.

Hi Sheila Just wanted to thank you for your wonderful hospitality, it was a real pleasure staying in your beautiful home, the added benefits of collecting us in the pouring rain from Burnside and returning us the next day, the superb homemade bread at breakfast, the very comfortable room all made our stay a truly memorable one. Thank you so much Viv & Mick
