MessageSix of us have been "house-churching" for about a year now. I enjoy your articles and they are very informative and useful to all of us who have left the institutionalized or traditional church. We are always hungry for more of the Word and the Lord's direction/teaching for us, and are sincerely trying to apply it personally in our lives.

MessageThank you for the website - it seems very similar to where God has been leading our family, which should make perfect sense since it is the biblical way, and we all read the same bible. I think that is a big problem in American churches though - pastors have all of these degrees so people tend to think that their pastor knows how to interpret and study Scripture better than they ever could, so they rely on the word from the pulpit rather than the Word from God, often never even really checking to see if things are biblical. That's one of the big things that led us to leave the church we had been a part of for years. I had not grown up in a christian home, though I became a believer at a young age, so I studied scripture on my own, and spent lots of time fellowshipping and praying and sharing with Christian friends at school. One day some missionaries from China came to visit our church in FL and the time came to take up an offering to help support them and believers in China. OUr pastor got up and said, "Now remember that anything you give to the missionaries must be above and beyond your tithe, because the tithe belongs to the church." Bells went off in my head, and I knew that wasn't scriptural. I looked into the funding of our "sister" church in Uganda, and found it was the same way - nothing from the general fund went to help our brothers and sisters (90% orphan children) who were starving, yet we were putting up flat screen TVs in the lobby. God has a better way.

MessageDavid and i live outside a small town called Anacoco LA about 8 miles from the Texas border. Over the last year or so our Lord has been slowly forming a church body to glorify Him. Our daughter, both of the flesh and in Him, Esther Lasyone has been in touch with you. David and I will be coming with them to the conference in May. She may have already registered us and so I have not "registered" till I find out what she has done. Your beliefs/convictions seem to be very close to what the Lord has been speaking to us about. Your practice is farther along than ours, as we are in the process of seeking the Lords face as to how he wants us to carry out his will. It will take some major changes at least on our part as we live 70 miles from Keith and Esther. In due time he will give us specific direction. I am looking forward to meeting. We also have a large tent if you think you would need it for "overflow" I am a bit too old to sleep on the ground, but David still enjoys it. Yours in Him, Marta Toups

MessageI onced left the organized church for the reasons of seeing sunday after sunday a body of christ being ill feed and miss lead to starvation position was more important then hearing God i eventually left and began home church with two families we went to meetings out clemson carolina to learn more about home church it was good for the first time i felt GOD leadership because there was no man or woman leading in his own agenda we were all brothers and sisiters in christ equal to everyone thanks to the spirit of God. one day though i began to feel ueasy about the two men in our group and i had a word for them i told them satan wants too see you on two seperate parts o fthe earth i being tthe youngest of the three men felt weird to warn them of their realationship but it came out into the open several months later that one brother was sleepin with thre others wife and even got his wife pregnant my brother was devestated and cried and weeped for months he tried to fix his marriage and even tried to fix his realationship with the offending brother to no avail this threw a big curve into or home cchurch and it did not survive all of our marriages took a blow from this we moved to fl and then i got divorced i have not had fellowship with God or a brother ever since then all of it is my fault i am heart broken and have lost my fire for God i have no identity with out Christ please pray for me thank you
