| Message | Home-church is the fresh start my family needs. Formerly,church had become a task to clear my conscious & not something to look forward to. We recently purchased two copies of the book "Pagan Christianity" by Frank Viola & George Barna. I believe its along the same lines as the one mentioned on your site, teaching how a biblical ekklesia should take place. My wife (evangelist)& I just left the Apostolic b/c my former pastor although sincere in his heart, began delving into the monetary decisions I made for my household. I made a study of their tithing rule,found it to be unscriptural, wrote a paper on it & went before their board, but the meeting ended up in an attack against me versus addressing the proposed issues. My former pastor & a church elder advised my wife she didn't have to adhere to my wishes on giving this amount. They told her God's word says you should give 10% of your gross income to the church, therefore she should "obey God rather than man" or may I say, me. So I decided it was time for us to leave. We even gave thought to later opening up our own home for this purpose. I told my wife we needed to get more understanding of scripture before we could have home church in our home, but I realized the old way of one or two people leading would not be happening here! See! The chains are falling off already!  Where can I find a home-church in St. Louis,MO? |

| Message | I was raised in basically a home church environment during the Jesus Movement of the 70's. I loved it and found it to be my fondest memories. I would like to pass on that legacy to my children. |
