MessageHey this is Chris Capps-Schubert, I'm the European guy for Iraq Vets Against the War. I came across it while I was googling AFN commercials to show friends back home because they wouldn't believe it.Your blog is an interesting read, particularly for me. I just found out I'm in the IRR(After Deserting they gave me a General Under Honorable Conditions probably just so they could keep me in the IRR! What does that say?!).

The fact that I'm in the IRR really sucks, I've become fairly fluent in normal conversational German, I'm doing well studying Electrical Engineering in a German School, and I don't want to have to deal with another deployment since I'm married and I'm actually doing something with my life. The only reason I could see for them calling me up right now though is if I raise to much hell like Adam Kokesh did and they try to prosecute me for it, or if something happens with Iran.

Anyways congrats on making it back and I hope you they don't call you up again.

MessageAlthough location says USA it is only a mater of days until I begin the living the story so many have read.

It was the week before the 4th of July when I received that dreaded package in the Mail from our dearest Uncle. He was calling me to duty. Once again an IRR Logistics CPT will go down this path. I deploy to Fort Jackson on August 31, 2008

In an effort to come to grips with what was going to happen to me I came across your blog this weekend and read it from start to homecoming. It was truly enlightening and has given me strength in facing the unknown. Thank you for the Blog as I know I will be referring back to it from time to time for support.

MessageAll good things must come to an end. That's the saying that many have, but you are back home safely, and you have made a difference in the lives of the people in Iraq. Many may never notice what you did, but to those of us who are aware, we know that you stood your ground, and never once gave up on your beliefs. I will miss reading your blog, but a good thing didn't come to an end. You are still alive to see those who truly love you. Enjoy and treasure the moments that you have with your family. Many of us who have seen war, we know that it's nothing nice. I too will be praying for every soldier and family who was affected by this Iraq war. Let us move forward to progress this nation of the United States, by loving everyone. We are still separated by racism, sexism, elitism, but with one person loving everyone, change can come, so that we do not end up with factions like there are in many third world nations. We must unite and love each other, so that we win the war on terrorism. We may think that the Muslims in Iraq or the Middle East are terrorist, but everyday in this country there is a family that suffers from terrorism from citizens of this country. Jason to make a difference all we have to do is respect one another, guns will never bring peace, but love in our hearts makes true and effective change. We love you for your sacrifice, and I thank God thah you can be loved and love those that you are with, from this point on! Thanks a million times over, thanks!
