| Message | What a great site,i enjoy looking at some of the old pictures from the late 60's and early 70's.They take me back to my mispent youth. I grew up in Merstham and my mum still lives in Wood Street. Although i left Merstham in the early 80's and eventually ended up in the USA, I'll always be a Merstham boy! | Message | I have just been back to Merstham for the first time in ages I lived in Wood Street from 1952 - 1967. I went to Merstahm Primary School and then onto Albury Manor. What a great web site I can't believe the youth club is still going I hope the kids have as much fun as we all did. Richard and Vanessa Fenley took me on a bit of a tour round the estate. Up what's left of Rockshaw Road past Dogs alley, (the times we walked up there) The Holmfirth est where my dad worked for 30 years and his hut on the lake is now gone and its to be a housing estate, but at least the lake is still there. I came back for my brothers 70th birthday and went to the Mertham Club, we were made to feel really welcome and I would like to thank them all for a wonderful night. I am so glad I found the website and I will look forward to visiting again sometime soon |

| Message | What an fabulous site - it reminds me of a project that I did in my first year at Albury Manor school in the '70s in Mrs Jones' History class - "A History of Merstham". I guess everybody did one, but I still have my A3 folder somewhere in the loft - do you fellow readers?? It isn't anywhere near as professional as this site of course !! Congratulations to the production team. I remember the Austen family well - I was a year below Russell at school. I have since moved to Hampshire, travel the world a bit with my job and still manage to get back to Merstham fairly frequently to visit my parents. It was a great place to grow up, and holds truly special memories for me of the place and people that I knew. I still see a few old reprobates from the area - in fact, I got down to Devon a couple of weeks ago to celebrate Pete Fry's 50th birthday. For those of you who know him from the '70s (on that noisy scooter and various motorbikes) you are probably as surprised as I am that he made it! Well good luck to everyone still in my home town, and those visiting this site from far away with fond memories. |

| Message | Hi i came across this site while researching my family tree. Im trying to find Pamela Gwyn Williams, daughter of Gwynith Joyce Williams and Albert William Williams. | Message | This is a really good site. I found it by mistake as my father had asked me to do a search to see if I could find any info on my great grandfather. He was a builder in Merstham and died around 1926. His name was Richard Boxer Amos and my grandmother Beatrice Alexander was the youngest of 11. I knew my Aunt Emma but have never met any of our other relatives. His eldest sons inherited the building business and I'm sure a while ago I saw Charles Amos on a local program. My father Raymond and I are trying to complete our family tree and hope that one of our many relatives has access to this site and will be able to help fill in the gaps. |

| Message | I have just discovered this website. I am finding it very interesting as my Great Grandfather was born in Merstham in 1848 & he worked as a Quarryman at the quarry. The surname is Davis & I would be interested to hear from anyone with a connection to the family. My Great Grandfather & other members of the family are buried in a family grave which I hope to visit soon having been there once about 50 years ago. |

| Message | I love this web site and was interested to read Peter English's message as he was friends with my brother Paul at primary school. I moved away from Merstham in 1966 on joining the WRNS, but am still interested in the village. Loved the picture of St Teresas in the snow. I married my husband Alex there in 1968. We now have two children and four grandchildren! |

| Message | I lived in Merstham from 1962 until 1987 and moved back 2000 to 2002. Still visit as my father lives in Merstham still went to FURZEFIELD School and then Redstone School in Redhill. Lived in Radstock Way 1962 to 1964 then Mansfield Drive until I moved away. I think this is a lovely site and now I have found it I will return and check it out like the bit all about the History of Merstham. Peter English |
