| Message | To add to the good news, the Reserves pulled off a great comeback to win 2-1 at home to Welling (whose first team let's not forget are in the Conference South). Well done to Deaksy and Mark on their first competitive match for us. |

Indeed and it was good to see Chris even if his side were on the end of a drubbing. And now's as good a time as any to pay tribute to him for finishing as top scorer in the Suburban League South last season with 25 goals - something the league neglected to tell us! Well done mate!  |

For info: Warlingham play their first game at the Moatside tonight (against Knaphill) so if you fancy having a look at what Combined Counties Division One is like these days and the chance to possibly see one or two familiar faces playing then pop along. |

| Message | Cracking game today. 4 goals, 4 shots that hit the woodwork, one missed penalty, one one-on-one missed. The game certainly could have gone either way but I think a draw was a fair result. I thought the Met were stronger than the two games we played against them last year so a draw is a good result especially considering some of this team have only been with the squad for 1-3 weeks. With more games they will gel more and only get better. By my reckoning we are around about 7th ot 8th after the opening day which is about the same as this time last year. Great start for Graeme and the boys. Really looking forward to Ashford away on Wednesday now. |
