Messagesmilie smilie smilie Jay thats a bit harsh, just because Merstham are probably the best side in the league to say thay are big time charlies is stupid,o.k maybe thae players did go into yesterdays game a little bit cocky shall we say,I think they will have learnt more from this defeat than if they had won,so now thay can go into tuesdays game knowing that this league will be no walkover and that it will be a tight division this year, and important to treat every game like a cup final.Everybody wants to beat Merstham,so it will be harder but we are one game in,and there are 41 to go,so a long, long way to go yet.So jay after 10 games,20 games,30 games and at the end of the season lets see where we are and what your message is then.

MessageHello mick good to see things are going well pre-season for you all,we have had a mixed couple of months r.e results won a couple but been beaten by teams that just want to kick us off the park because of who we are.
Looks like we have a good squad this yr after loosing 9 through age and one to a full time contract, already we have one lad (17) training with the first team and 3 young lads played mon night against tiverton with the pros which is good for their progress, another frustrating thing is a couple of clubs i have visited were looking for a friendly and if i had known i could have sorted something out for you but its a bit late as the season starts for most team this w-end.
would love to try and sort out a friendly for you against us but i need to speak to the right people for that to happen but i will ring you and let you know what can be done hopefully, anyway good luck saturday hope it all goes well n we start the following week against swindon away which will be a tough one smilie

MessageKevin Lock picked up a knock at Whitstable and was rested for last night's win over Crawley Down, although he did the warm up and feels that he will be okay for the visit to Cove on Saturday.

Simmo will be back soon and yes it will be difficult to keep everyone happy, but a couple are off to Uni soon and there will, no doubt, be injuries.

MessageWell done Merstham I think Redhill tried to bully a win from you, but the dicipline and class showed in the end

MessageI am not suprised with Redhill's behaviour, with the new management team they now have.

Redhill should learn that success comes from a stable and happy enviroment

MessageGood win having to come from 2-0 down, thought that we did not play well, and Redhill were a lot better than South Park, who as I said in a previous thread were poor.Still to come from behind and win shows spirit, but we are going to have to play better in the coming season to grab the title. Was locky injured on Saturday and I see that simmo will be back soon where will he fit in?Nice to see Boothy get an appearance on his day quality player just needs to get himself fit.Big squad hope they can all be kept happy, because over the season we are going to need them, injurys and unavailability etc,and remember they are not on big money like at Chelsea etc, where I am sure they wont mind sitting on the bench, anyway look forward to the coming season and are there any more players in the pipeline smilie smilie

MessageHow the mighty have fallen? Redhill's failure to accept defeat in the ESHC Final by refusing to attend the presention was a fine example to all the youngsters watching i'm sure. How sad for Mr Parks to have to put up with the buffoons who call themselves the committee, not one of them had the guts to go over and tell their players to come over for the presentation. Mr Parks apologised and was obviously acutely embarassed by the whole episode, he is a real gent as for the rest....

MessageWell done lads we got our act together in the end against a good Redhill side who were well up for winning the cup. Lessons learnt i think we were still thinking about the South Park victory last Tuesday.
Any way one last friendly against Crawley down then the real buisness starts againt Cove this Saturday hard start but if we really want the Ryman dream they are all going to be tough.
Hopefully we all pull together and get over the highs and lows that will happen and win this league lets hope third time lucky.
PS Good to hear our traveller is keeping tabs and will be back in the fold very soon competition is hotting up.
