| Message | I had expected that SymBioSE would be something 'come and go' and would leave nothing to remember before I got prepared to go to Latvia. It really 'came and went', but one thing I hadn't planned was the spirit of the programme and the friendship. Silly me, of course the friendship, how wrong I was! Now, I feel myself in it and realize that SymBioSE means much more than it is called, and I know that I have many friends all over Europe and I miss them all, you came to me and never went, and I don't want you to leave me, so what you can do is very easy. Just apply for next year's SymBioSE that will be held in Portugal, hope to be accepted, and safely arrive there and wait for me... (why I'm so sure about being accepted by Portuguese team is just I really love them all so much for every single moment I had the chance to spend with them in Latvia.) Guys, guys, guys... I thank you for everything, even just for your presence at this year's symposium. There are lots of things I want to say more here now and every time, but I must go now to come back again. I love you all so much and hope to see you again, I think this summarizes everything I feel in short!...  |

| Message | Symbionts! Many thanks to the Latvian hosts for creating an excellent symposium! It was truely firmly embedded in the good tradition of SymBioSE as our annual injection of biological inspiration. A direct proof of that is that I planned to stay 2-3 nights, but ended up with ... I can't actually remember now how many, but it was worth it. Also many thanks to the Iberian crue for the useful gift that you left outside my tent after the last evening at the campite. I must admit that it was too much for me (and unfortunately too much for my quota back home), so I donated the leftovers to the nice staff at the campsite. By the way, there is actually a small norwegian-german reunion going on at the moment, as Nils + his girlfriend is visiting me here in Oslo. Slightly subfossilised, but still highly symbiotic wishes to everyone, jens |

| Message | Back home I am now.. But oh so tired and yet oh so happy. Symbiose'07 is definitely to remember, and I miss all the great people I met, as well as the old close friends! Thanks everyone for your smiles and laughters, I hope we can meet again soon. Greeks: you were great in your presentation, thank you for presenting Portugal so well. You are AMAZING people! Love you! Apologise to the symbionts who only wanted some peace and quiet on the bus, do understand that it is not possible with the portuguese crew around!
