Hi Amalia, Oshe and I got to see your pal the Dalai Lama here on Maui. It was a great event (except for the snipers on rooftops.)
There was a private event at the Maui Dharma Center for 500. A new stupa was being blessed or brought to life by the Dalai Lama.
A friend jumped the fence at the Dharma Center when the Dalai Lama came. ... crazy considering all the snipers on rooftops. Amazingly, they didn't catch him and he enjoyed getting up close and personal with the Dalai Lama. The event we went to had about 13000 people. It was wonderful. Wish you could have been here to sing. People flew in from all over the world for this event.
All's well on magical Maui. I hope you will put Maui on your horizon and come visit.
Peace and Love, Rena

Umm, yeah, dinner will be great! Not sure about the Lassis. True, you can never have too many red strings. And the Karmapa....um, Julia, my friend. He's a monk.

I am sitting right next to you as I type. Slightly awkward. Hello! I'm looking forward to dinner tonight, and I don't care where we go as long as they have safe lassis. :D I want to learn mandolin soon! And I'm sure the Karmapa was hot. You can never have too many red strings on your neck.

Hello to everyone from Sarah, India. An especially big round of appreciation to Amalia, who is an incredible ambassador here (I'm actually on the program with her!). It's really fun to watch her in concert, but it's even MORE fun to watch the Tibetans watching her!!! Wherever she goes, they gather around in amazement to see an Inji singing in traditional Tibetan style.
Kudos for a great website! Karen

Your new website looks tremendous! Well done! I am so excited to hear about your adventures in Dharamsala! I will forever be in love with that place! Be sure to visit Dogga Café! Eat Banoffe at the Soul Food Cafe in Bhagsu! Watch out for wild dogs that run in packs! Watch the sunset from Khana Nirvana Café!! Actually, *do* spend a lot of time at Khana Nirvana Cafe - they have open mic nights - you will be the star of Dharamsala!!! Take a day trip up to Trion (sp?) it is worth the trek - the view of the Himalayas on the other side of the foothills is amazing! I left my heart on those mountains! Do visit Norbulingka for sure!!! Chai at Moonlight Café!!!
Oh OH OH!!
I am so excited for you Amalia!
Be safe and have the time of your life!
You are never going to want to come home.
THAT I can assure you of!
Love, Tanya xo
