MessageHello fellow "Brig-o-nions",
Here's hoping that you have a stellar weekend.
The Blueberry Festival is the social event of the season no matter who you are or where you're from. I've only been a couple of times but each time I've met up with friends from long time past - my days at the Academy, or 4-H, or CGIT. So, wishing you great weather, a great turnout and most especially a great time to be had by all.
Love my home town,
Jackie smilie

MessageI saw an article in the Calgary Herald 'Arctic's heroic sailor honoured' Capt. Bob Bartlett.
My grandmother was married to a relative of Capt. Bartlett by the name of W.J. Bartlett, who wrote for a southern Alberta newspaper. I have several of Capt. Bartlett's books which belonged to my grandmother, so when I saw the article I was very excited. I have always wanted to explore the eastern reaches of my country and I think next summer would be a wonderful time to do that.
Your site is wonderful and the pictures are beautiful, I can't wait to visit.

MessageMy grandparents, Abel Patrick Faucette and Alice Howell Faucette, left Brigus in the late 1800's to move to Boston, MA. If anyone recognizes their names could they contact me at jfcronin@comcast.net?

Brigus looks beautiful. smilie

MessageI spent a total of four nights this June in Brigus staying with Betty at "The Brittoner". I completely enjoyed your town (except for the weather the last 2 days), especially how easy it is to walk everywhere. Very informative visit to Hawthorne Cottage. To top it off, there is no better hostess than Betty - she knows the local history and is very willing to share her knowledge.
