| Message | I went to Catholic convent in Brigus for my schooling, then worked @ the convent there for 2 yrs,Met my husband @ a street dance by Hiscock's store in 1969. Have been happily married now for 37 yrs. In July of 2003 my youngest son and he's now wife went back to Brigus so he could propose to her @ the Blueberry Festival , and visit the old stomping grounds of he's mom & dad , I though it was such a wonderful thing for him to do, and I wish him an dhe's lovely wife the love and happinesnes he's Dad and I have had for close to 40 yrs. Thank you Brigus for were i am today.  |

| Message | I'm looking for any early info on James Gushue 1868-1933 born in Kitchuses and Johana Gushue nee Costello 1870-1945. | Message | I'm so glad I discovered this site. I've been researching my family history and welcome any information I can find! My great-great grandparents on my father's side were John James Smith & Jane Elizabeth Lawrence (Jennie) of Brigus. Apparently, my g.g.grandmother ran a hat store which I found interesting and we share the same birthday too (Dec. 31). I love to hear about the maritime stories. | Message | Just checked out your site and I am very impressed. A fellow that I have tipped a few with over the years is originally from your town and he has told me many things about it. For instance, The Blueberry Festival. Out standing Community spirit. His name is Fred Pomeroy and I see that there is a Pomeroy named on your site. Maybe they are related.
