| Message | Great Website! I am native Newfoundlander and I am now living in Ottawa. My father's family is from Brigus originally. I hope to get out to Brigus the next time we visit home. Hopefully it will be during the Blueberry Festival. The last time we visited we took in the dinner theatre "Amnesia". Food and show were great, we even learned a dance! |

I have one other question that would be nice to see on the web page, where is this new developement that everyone is talking about. I believe it is down where the old wharf was. | Message | My Grandfather, William John (Jack) Weeks, was born Feb. 12, 1880 in Brigus. He married in Montreal, where my father, Cecil John Weeks, was raised, and moved to Toronto where he died in 1939. My Great-Grandfather, William John Weeks, was born in 1846 in Bull Cove and married Maria Sparkes on Dec. 29, 1875 in Brigus. Maris was also born in Bull Cove. They both died in Montreal. I was born in Toronto, but now live in a hamlet 1 1/2 hours northeast. I hope to travel to Brigus to explore my heritage as soon as I can afford the trip. Maybe I'll even find some relatives??
