MessageJust an amendment to the list of businesses a few messages down. Somehow Canturf didn't get mentioned. Without them, we wouldn't have a soccer field so my sincere apologies & a very big THANK YOU!!
Still waiting on support to get back to me re the problem I'm having with updating the website. I'm actually in the process of building a new website on the Mac that will be much easier & quicker to update (provided the Mac doesn't crash!!) but it might take awhile. Will just keep using the guestbook till I have one of them up & running. Will update photos soon (it's just journal I have problems with).

MessageWhat a day!! The trucks started arriving at 7am & from there Tyler was getting very excited. Around 8am WIN news came to interview Tyler, our normally chatty boy became quite camera shy so we didn’t get too much out of him. He was more interested in checking out the trucks & seeing what all the guys were up to. I wasn’t much better, & must say, the words seem to disappear when a camera’s pointed at your face!!
The guys worked so hard on such a hot day. They did a great job & we're so grateful to them & to Anne for even thinking of this project. Tyler helped out where he could, playing with the sand while one of the guys was mixing some concrete, riding in the excavator with Simon, & overlooking the turf laying.
The end result is just beautiful.
We want to thank all the businesses (previously mentioned) for not only supplying the products, but also to the guys who gave up some of their weekend away from their own families to do something so special for ours.
We had another interview with WIN when they came back to see the finished project. Thankfully Tyler had a second wind by then & was happy to let them know how much he loves his field & got to show off his soccer skills! Story should air Monday night 6.30pm.
We are now just HOPING with everything for good scans next week. How we dread this trip.

MessageMe again,

Tyler started Preschool yesterday & it felt like such a milestone for us. He got a little quiet so I thought we might have had a few tears - even though he has been SO excited about starting preschool & even wanted to pack his lunch the day before (not the night before!) so it was all ready!!

Luckily his big sister was there to play some Dinosaur Lego with him (which reminded her of her preschool days) & he was very settled when we left.

Daddy got to pick him up & he said his favourite part of the day was playing outside. There was too much jumping when they did the music play inside & it made his legs tired!!

We just feel so proud & lucky that we have reached this milestone. There was a time that we were unsure that we would.

Work has begun on the soccer field today with the irrigation in & ready. I can't wait till tomorrow - although its going to be extremely hot!! At least we'll be able to turn the sprinklers on & cool everyone off a bit!! (it's dam water so we're not wasting!)

We got more exciting news yesterday with the confirmation of Tyler's Starlight Wish - a cubby. By the sound of it, it's going to be huge & lot's of fun. I even look forward to playing on it!! We've set tentative dates for 14th or 21st Feb. 21st is what we call 'Nans weekend' as it's her birthday & the anniversary of her passing so I think it would be nice to have a big celebration in memory of her also.

We HAVE to get good results next week!!

MessageStill can't update website. For some reason I can't update it on the Mac & my laptop has now died & won't work either!

So I quickly want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the following businesses in anticipation of Tyler's Soccer Field being built on Saturday:

Firstly to Anne Urquhart for coming up with the idea & putting it together, Simon Frowd from Urban Contractors for managing the project, Simon Bugden & Rebel sport for all the socceroos gear (can hardly keep Tyler out of it!), Tuggeranong Irrigation & Plumbing, Brady Bogan Bobcat operator, Amey Bros QBN (turf & roadbase), Biajag Constructions (landscaping0, Coates Hire Hume (portaloo), Queanbeyan Nursery (plants), Magnet Mart QBN (plants), Unique Meats Jerrabomberra (meat for BBQ), Baker's Delight Jerrabomberra (bread for BBQ).

We are really looking forward to Saturday so thank you all SO much!! It will give us something really special to focus on before our trip too Sydney for scans.

On a very sad note, I learnt today that one of our nurses from Sydney tragically passed away last week. Rowena was a very lovely person & a great nurse. She will be missed by many, many people.

That's about all I can fit on here so send all the positive vibes for good results & eventually a computer that allows me to update properly!

MessageHAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Having troubles updating - AGAIN so here's a quick one . . .

We had a really nice Christmas with lots of family.

All is good. Tyler has worried us at times but we are overdue for scans so have been quite anxious about things. He has been complaining of headaches but I've had him to our trusty GP who assured me that they are nothing to worry about. He is booked in for scans in Sydney first week of Feb. Hayden will also be having an ultrasound - just for peace of mind.

We have some very exciting things coming up: Anne (Tyler's Camp Quality Companion & a wonderful lady) has organised a bit of a back yard blitz to happen out here on the 31st Jan. We will have a team of people building Tyler a 10mx10m soccer field!! He showed an interest in soccer on camp so Anne sent out a few emails with her idea & it all went from there. I'll go into much more detail when I can actually update.

Simon who is in one of the latest photos came out just before Christmas with some Socceroo gear which Tyler LOVES so a huge thanks to Simon & Rebel sport for donating the gear. Simon is also a coach & is going to come out & give Tyler some private lessons!! There are some wonderful people out there in our community!

You may see us on WIN news on the 31st as they will be doing a story on the field.

We are off to Ulladulla for a week in the morning which will be fun so no more update attempts till after we get home.

MessageHi Tyler and Family,

I hope that Santa treated you all well and you all got heaps of cool pressies. I wonder where Santa ended up landing in his sleigh at your place? I wonder if he plays soccer in the North Pole?

I hear that Tyler has been wearing his Socceroo shirt alot and I'm sure he has been having a kick of his new ball. I'm looking forward to visiting his new field in a few weeks. Maybe Tyler can teach me a few new soccer skills then.

Tyler I hope you have been looking after your grasshoppers and feeding your dog plenty of bickies.

Good luck with the soccer field building day and see you soon.

MessageHi all,

For some time now I've been trying to do an update but for some reason the site won't let me. First I thought it was cause I've converted to a Mac, but have still found I can't do it on the laptop - now I just need to figure out how to log a fault!!
Everything is going pretty well with us. Tyler has remained well with only a couple of concerns for us which I'll go more into detail when I can finally update. Hayden is growing fast & is already 3 months!! Ash is still injuring her ankle at basketball with another one last Sunday!!
Can't put too much more in here but if anyone would like to contact me personally for a better update please email me on: melntez@bigpond.net.au
Hopefully I'll have the website sorted soon - can't even update photos smilie
Thanks,
Melissa, Terry, Ashleigh, Tyler & Hayden
