MessageThe first time I saw that flightline was on 10/09/1967 when I came over from the 195th AHC for in country training with the 199th AHC. I ran into
an old fried who was 240th White Flight Platoon SGT.
I feel blessed to this day that he asked if I wanted to work for him over 40 yrs ago. When it comes to the 240th it is not bragging when its fact. Its the
best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. 40 yrs later I still feel the way I did back then. smilie

MessageGood Morning Gentlemen,
Unfortunantly I was too young to serve, But I had an uncle that was a slick pilot during Vietnam and was killed in 1969 in Da Nang.
I'm am proud to know that he died with Honor.
As well as you guys served with honor.
Thank You for your Service... and I Will Never Forget. Keep up the good work gentlemen!

MessageWith Linda Luther's expert help, our webmistress on LZ and Flightline, I have started this website, 240th AHC Flight Operations, and with the help of the 240th members and their families, I hope it becomes a place for continued healing, a source of pride and a place we can share our memories from the past. The new website is starting off with recognition to Rob Cobley, our 240th adopted brother in England, as he is working diligently to make sure the 240th display is prominent in the aviation museum of his hometown, Bristol. Rob and his family attended the 2002, 240th Reunion in Dothan, Alabama. As always, ideas, contributions and constructive criticism are welcome from 240th members and their families. I am honored and humbled that you have allowed me to be the keeper of your precious memories and I will never violate that trust for any personal gain. I again apologize for being "out of the loop" for two years, I just needed some time off from Vietnam, but I could have at least posted my intentions on the websites and for not doing it in that manner, I was wrong. As we get older and more of us start leaving this earth, those of us that are left must do our best to remember the 240th Brothers that paid the Supreme Sacrifice in South Vietnam and those that have crossed over since. Welcome Home to all the 240th AHC Brothers and thanks for a job well done and at a time when many in our own country thought PATRIOTISM was a dirty word! We did good and should be proud!
