MessageAfter many years of instrumental training, and then a stint in college a cappella groups and jazz choirs, I recently got a job as a middle school chorus teacher. So far I like the job, but what a challenge!

Would love to get more information about the Cambiata concept, and any sample music would be much appreciated. I'm teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choirs, all co-ed groups.

Thanks.

MessageWe are a small charter school that provides extensive arts curriculum including music. This year we have added choir, all extra classes must be paid for by parents and or donated by teachers and parent body. I am new to teaching choir and would appreciate any good choral music appropriate for 5th, 7th and 8th grades. Thank you so much for any help you can give, Claire Penneau

MessageI don't quite know what to do with my 7th & 8th grade choirs. I have both girls and boys in the choirs. I have some boys with changed voices and others who have not changed. The ones with changed voices are not strong enough to carry a baritone alone. Can I use 2 part and have the changed voices simply sing an octave lower than the altos?
