Messagewe stayed here for8 nights in august, the site is fantastic, good size pitches, kids loved the park areas. We took our dog who loved every minute espically when she tried to learn to surf in bude, the site is very dog freindly. The clubhouse serves great food at very reasonable prices, they even did late night chips for the kids. The staff are very freindly and the camp shop is like a aladdins cave, again prices very reasonable. We cannot wait to come back next year which we will in june and august, we have camped at many sites and this is the best. Thank you Hedley Wood. smilie smilie smilie

Messagestayed in a static start of august. it was stuffy and there was mildew on walls, smelt musty and damp. upholstery was torn and carpets were dirty. had to clean everywere first before using it. good point is that the electric coin meter lasted ages. always hot water (when it felt like it). weather was superb, area is fantastic, site very good, shame the static let it down. smilie smilie

MessageHave just got home from a great week at Hedley Wood, 21/08/2010. It was our first ever camping trip, Marc, (Guinness, Jaspa our two dogs)and me Karen thought this place was great, we arrived late afternoon after a long journey full of delays. We went too reception and were warmley greeted and told that if we wanted to have a look round and choose are pitch, which we did. After much deliberation we chose a pitch on the lower meadow which had about 5 tents on it this was good for us as we have 2 dogs and needed the room. We set up and decided to head to the bar for a meal and a drink, we took the dogs into the bar as well, the welcome was great, food was great and the beer well it speaks for itself. It took us two days to get someone to take our money for our pitch, this shows just how relaxed the atmosphere was. The facilities here are good as i am very picky and dont usually praise many things (ask my husband Marc) but WELL DONE HEDLEY WOOD. We all look forward to coming here next year in June & August. PS If you dont want to eat or drink in the bar then we reccommend The King Arthurs Arms in Tintagel again the service, food and beer are great.

MessageMany thanks for an excellent 2 weeks - as usual, a very chilled and helpful atmosphere. Double thanks go to the bloke with the goatee (whose name I have never known) and Dan and Alan, for letting me fix Daisy the cow Landrover in the yard, and lent me tools and a jack.
The boy is healing nicely after his tarmac interface down the drive, we are missing the waves, and we accidentally bought a 7 foot surfboard, which Sally has christened 'Alan'.
See you next year!

MessageJust got home after another superb week at Hedley Wood.

Weather was kind apart from Friday morning when the heavens opened up, but by afternoon the sun began to shine again.

Had some lovely meals in the Woodman, but as always it was the happy, helpful staff that made our stay even more enjoyable.

Nothing is too much trouble and now as I look at our 3 dogs, who had a wondeful time....they are all sulking smilie

So I suppose we had better start planning our next stay.

Thanks again

Warren, Julie and the boys smilie
