MessageHi! I have really enjoyed following your journey to Sage. I guess you are about to get her since it's 8:30PM ET. Your family will be in my prayers. Our baby girl is a Hunan spicy girl as well. She is at the Chenzhou SWI (like Sage) and will be 10 months in one week. Keep posting, as I love following your journey. Can't wait to see your angel!

MessageShannon and Mark,
WOW!! I can't believe that about the time I am typing this you either have Sage in your arms or are just about to hold her for the first time. God is SO good!

I read your thank you note to all of us, but all I can say is Thanks to both of you. Even now the tears come to my eyes as I think about how much of yourselves you have shared throughout this process and how wonderful it has been and will continue to be to have Sage in ALL of our lives.

It sounds like you have not had need for many sleeveless shirts. The girls and I should have made a deal with you that if you didn't get to the top of The Great Wall that you would have to buy us T-shirts ;-)Just kidding, of course. I am glad you got pretty far --farther than most of us.

We are continuing in prayer for you both, Sage, and the children at home. Rejoicing with you.

Love and Blessings,
Sarah

MessageHello,

I've enjoyed reading your posts as you embark on your journey to Sage. We also have a daughter from Chenzhou, Helan Yi Chun, whom we adopted June 2005. She just turned 2 last Saturday. Her roomate from the orphanage lives in St. Louis and it's wonderful to get them together to keep the connection going to theif "first siblings." Chenzhou girls are mighty special...and spicy! What a blessing Sage will be to your family...enjoy this special time together.

By the way, the Dolton keeps extra duvets in big drawers (below the tv, I believe) and you can put one on each bed to soften it up. Helped a bunch when we were there last summer. Also, there is a great Chinese restaurant on the second floor that serves authentic Hunan dishes...very yummy!

You are one step closer to Sage!
God Bless,
Clare Stafford

MessageHi Mark and Shannon!
I am thrilled you have made it to Changsha...just a few more hours, and Sage will be in your arms. You are almost there...God's blessing, your own little angel, will soon be united with you and Mark, and every tear and every doubt and every fear experienced from this terrible wait will be forever gone!
It sounds like you have stayed just a tiny bit cooler than we did last month! Praise God!
I have a question...how did you know what kind of formula to buy before your got the children? Perhaps Sabrina has been to your orphanage before, and just already knows what they use? Just curious...you know...inquiring minds want to know! smilie
Ellie says to tell Sage hello for her! We can hardly wait for the day that Ellie and Sage get to meet!
Enjoy every moment, and try to remember every detail of your "metcha day"! I can't wait to see those pictures and the look of complete JOY I know I will see on your face, and Mark's face!!! No matter how tired you are, don't forget to write in your journal your experiences and emotions of the day! You will be glad you did!
May God shine his blessings upon you both, as you are united with your daughter as we sleep tonight!!!!!!!

Love, Brenda, Keith, Taylor, Trevor and Ellie (home from China for 3 weeks, and already ready to go back...o.k...not this Summer, but during a nice COOL weather season!)
