Bridgnorth District Sewage Proposals
Bridgnorth District Council has proposed changes to the contracts of some 120 properties in the Bridgnorth district, whith regard to sewage services. In essence these changes aim to recoup the actual annual maintenance cost AND to pay the full cost of Improvement works to their systems - by charging those houses on the systems.

| Message | I have had new contract and details but other owner occupiers on same system have recieved nothing. Why is this? Why is there a difference in charge between some owner occupiers and others on same system with some being brought under new increased charge system and others unaffected ? I cannot afford these charges estimated to be £3000 + for repairs in 2007/08.There will be further costs going forward at this level+ no doubt in further years for additional work. Nobody pays this level of charge for sewerage charges, it amounts to more than my annual mortgage costs. I do not know how to proceed, bdc seem to have made this decision and there is no appeal, works were carried out on the works here only 4 years ago. I do not see how we have any control over ongoing works needed and also the standard to which they are carried out. Sleepless nights. |

| Message | Good informative site. I am now convinced that BDC is as confused as the rest of us. I have been told by BDC that there will be a meeting at the village hall on 31st July-06 at 7-0-clock, and all concerned will be invited. |
