| Message | A wonderful location which, although so close to Newton Abbot, is in the heart of the beautiful Devonshire countryside and the views from Higher Holbeam are gorgeous. Although it rained for most of our visit, it didn't deter us from indulging in a good walk around the lanes! The accommodation is self contained which was great for us as we were attending a couple of functions and we felt that we were not disturbing the family when we returned. Our lovely room with adjoining en-suite was absolutely spotless and Carolyn has paid so much attention to detail and to making her guests as comfortable as possible. The breakfasts (and smoothies) were great and it was a pleasure to chat to Carolyn and other guests, meet the children and of course Monty the dog. Absolutely faultless! |

| Message | Wow, what a find! Mum and I stayed for two nights and it was fabulous. Such great views, good food and spotlessly clean room. I would recomend it to anyone. We were made to feel very welcome by Carolyn, her chilren and Monty the dog, even the sun shone. I feel we arrived as strangers and left as freinds.  |

| Message | Super stay for my exams in a very clean room, felt like I was the first person to have ever stayed. Lovely breakfast, I'm also a smothey convert and now have up'd my five a day. Good location for some study and close to get to the Police College. Will be back next year for my last few exams. Many Thanks Frank Would like to have come from Costatica however the Kernow (St Piran)flag seems more appropiate then the right location but with the Costarican flag. |

| Message | Lovely accommodation which is spotlessly clean, in a marvellous location. Breakfast was excellent with the smoothies, coffee and sausages particular highlights - a lovely meal served by a kind host obviously determined to look after her guests as well as she can. Highly recommended - we will definitely be going back. |

| Message | We recently had the pleasure of staying at Higher Holbeam when we came to Devon for Newton Abbot Races. Very conveniently located. We brought friends with us too, so booked both rooms for the night. They were very comfortable, lovely personal touches added, such as umbrellas in a stand, and the hospitality we received was second to none. We would not hesitate to visit again - thank you Caroline. |

| Message | Very nice house in a beautiful spot - the view before you when eating your breakfast would be hard to beat. Everything is spotlessly clean and well cared for. Carolyn is a delightful person and the children were great, also Monty - whose first act was to put his nose on the end of mine! I spent five nights at Higher Holbeam and would recommend it to anyone, everything needed is laid on, including a mini-fridge, great shower room in the Courtyard Room, excellent food and nothing is too much trouble. Well done Carolyn, keep up the good work! |

| Message | Having recently stayed in the Garden Room at Higher Holbeam I would like to thank Carolyn, Ellie and Luca for their wonderful hospitality. I cant imagine a more wonderful location to wake up in the morning, it is a truly beautiful area. The room and bathroom were immaculate and very tastefully decorated, the breakfast was simply scrumptious and the kindness of our hosts was wonderful. We plan to return next year, thats for sure. |

| Message | Just got back from a wonderful 3 nights at Higher Holbeam. Carolyn made us feel very welcome and even went out of her way to make us a vegetarian breakfast. The rooms were lovely - clean and contemporary. Ellie (Mummy's little helper) and Luca also made us very welcome, and Monty (the dog) made it feel like a home from home! Highly recommended and we will visit again! |
