MessageDavid and Pat,

I couldn't help but think about you guys in church this past Sunday as we sang:

Guide my feet, Lord, while I run this race,
'cause I don't want to run this race in vain.
Hold my hand, Lord, while I run this race,
'cause I don't want to run this race in vain.
Stand by me, Lord, while I run this race,
'cause I don't want to run this race in vain.

God has a special place in heaven for both of you one day.

Your inspiration is contagious! Thanks for sharing it with so many!

MessageDear Dave, I’m sorry I missed you when you were in Kansas City - as I was out of town on business. Nevertheless, please know – from the guy whose name sits atop the PKD Foundation’s “org chart” – of my profound personal gratitude for what you’re doing to help generate awareness about PKD and support for the PKD Foundation’s efforts to conquer the disease that affects your mom and her family. As the only organization on the planet solely devoted to programs of biomedical research, patient education, public awareness and advocacy for PKD families – when it comes to fighting PKD…if we don’t do it – it won’t get done. Hence, we’re dependent on proactive, generous and creative people like you and your mom who partner with us to get the word out about PKD, raise money for PKD research…and get closer to the day we can put ourselves out of business. As you may know, we’ve declared to our constituents that when we find a treatment and cure for PKD and make sure that those who need it – get it…we will turn off the lights, lock the doors and close the book on PKD. So – for the part you and your mom are playing to hasten that day – I reiterate my sincerest thanks and appreciation.

God’s best to you and your mom for the balance of your ride/run; stay safe and let us know a summary of how it went – when you’re back home and fully recovered, OK?
