| Message | Hi folks... I was very disappointed in the promotion (or not) of the 8th Oswestry Country Music Festival. For a start there is no official website, and then when I finally found something, the telephone number was unobtainable and no incoming calls could be received on the number! I phoned a chap on a mobile and he didn't have much more to offer, other than to tell me verbally who was going to be there. Then I found out that despite being advertised on the internet, via 'Miss Kitty's' something or other (that took ages to find) the event is not being held at the place it is advertised at, but at another venue... if this goes pear shaped it is because of bad publicity and promotion. I think this event could be a BLAST if it were promoted properly - at one of the busiest times of the year in this tourist area, and where there are a lot of country music fans possibly visiting for other reasons, this event should be being shouted from the rooftops! I run a small event company myself, and would love the chance to promote the Country Music genre in this area... anyone care to rise to the challenge with me? | Message | Friday the 12th December 2008 and Root'n Toot'n payed their first visit to Westcott CWDC. One of the best nights ever seen at the club thanks to the musical and comedy talents of Colin & Mandy ably supported by "Rob the guitar" from Swansea.
