MessageAMATEUR GROUP

Just a quick reminder that the long awaited date has at last arrived!

Sunday 10th September 2006 at 10.30am

This will be the first official meeting of The Market Theatre Amateur Group.

The morning will be a combination of chat, giving you more details of how it's going to run, and a workshop. After Sunday you'll know much more about what you're in for! If you are planning on joining you need to bring a cheque for £50.00 with you, this is an annual fee which enables you to be involved with as many shows and workshops as you want. If however you just want to sample the workshops, then this can be done with a fee of £5.00 per workshop.

The first show SCENES Tuesday 14th November to Saturday 18th November allows people to join the company late and still perform in the production.

After the meetings every Wednesday and Sunday, the Long Bar will be open afterwards for socialising, and coffee and tea (besides alcohol) will be on sale. On Sundays Jo will do cheese and ham rolls for the more peckish amongst you!

If you have any friends, or know of anyone else who would be interested in joining, please bring them along on the Sunday or to any of the future workshops.

MessageWEEKENDERS got off to a great start today (Saturday 12th August) Despite the rain, the show went ahead inside the Theatre Studio. A great aundience of about 30 were not put off by the weather and their feed back was very positive.

If you missed it, you can see it tomorrow (Sunday) at the same time. In fact it will go ahead each week as publisized, because it works just as well inside as it does outside, so doesn't matter if it rains or not!

Hope to see you tomorrow!

MessageKomedy Kollective Theatre [http://www.komedykollective.com] are the North of England's newest musical theatre company, and are currently working on a large scale schlockomedy (comedy horror) performance called Restart, to be performed from 2007 onwards. [http://www.komedykollective.com/id8.html]

The play includes cool music, skateboarders, dark humour, anarchistic action, singalong songs, dancing, and slapstick humour (allsorts, really), and is centred around a Manchester jobcentre. It is a large scale play with a fresh outlook, especially designed to appeal to everybody of all backgrounds, sculptured for perfomances nationwide, in large scale playhouses. Restart has been described as a refreshing departure from ordinary, run-of-the-mill, pigeonholed drama to rival Rocky Horror as a musical drama cult.
