MessageIt is a shame that there is no Lo Life songs on this site! I remember watching them play at Bud's house back in the summer of 2000. Having broken up- Derek Sweeny started Quadratic and did some solo stuff. Phil Amon has solo stuff too. Steve Townsend became the singer for Whiplash. Bud Ogden started the bizarre projects, Balky and Trevory.

Good to see no one totally quit the music!

MessageAnd you are doing a fabulous job! Finally, someone is archving this information. Congratulations and THANK YOU!

May I suggest you contact Lloyd about his tapes and find a way that we can preserve them? Also see if it is possible to put the Langley Beach Crowd song online. Honestly, if you haven't heard it, you are missing something special...

MessageAre you aware that Lloyd Smith (now Town Crier for New Minas and previously the manager of the famous Langley Beach Crowd) has an actual recording of their music? Lloyd also used to be on radio in the 60's and has tapes of at least 13 bands who played in Nova Scotia including Melody Fair, Matthew Hill, etc. I have heard the Langely Beach recording a number of times and still can't believe that we small town kids could pay 75 cents to hear talent like this. Lloyd has told me that it is very time consuming to transfer the tapes but it scares me that we could lose this music. I wish there was a way to conserve it before it is too late...
