MessageTroy and I visited the airport in Mt. Vernon with our little boy, Ryan. I was immediately sucked in by the beauty and history of these planes. I knew nothing about Wacos but have since done some research. We met Andy Heins and he let Ryan sit in his plane which was really special. I am so amazed by the people and aircrafts; I am hoping to get Ryan into the Young Eagles program now! This is all based on Troy driving by and seeing the airplanes, picking us up, and driving back so we see the planes. What an absolute treat! My thanks to Andy Heins (Susan's plane is still my favorite-she is amazing!)for a warm welcome. Jen Fields

Any Waco photos to share/trade?no yet
MessageI'm building an RC Pica 1/5 scale Waco YMF-3, I'm installing floats but wanna keep it scale. I've been looking all over the net to find a good photo of how the AFT strut is attached to the fuselage of the plane going down to the floats. This is a great website. I love Wacos.

Own a Waco? If so, tell us abfather did
Any Waco photos to share/trade?yes
MessageMy father was Joe Bell, he worked for TWA at Kansas City for 36 years and owned a waco before WWII. I have a PIX of him taxiing at old KC Municipal at that time. I just noticed that my mom had written WACO F NC113y on back of photo and date of 1942. I looked up your web site and this appears to be currently Tim Pinkerton"s 1930 WACO. If this is so I am really excited to find a piece of my dad's aviation history still intact. Tim if you want to send me an email or call I may have some other PIX and I do have some other
info I would be happy to share.

MessageMy admiration for the WACO goes back to about 1941 or 1942 when I took my first airplane ride from Fairfax Municipal Airport, Fairfax, Kansas.
I recall (perhaps not too accurately)that the 5-place cabin a/c was operated by Tex Lagrone flying service.
I have a picture of the a/c... black and white of course. The N-number on lower surface of the bottom left wing is difficult to decipher.
I enjoy seeing the pictures of the WACO on your website. Thanks!
