Messagehow dissapointed & arrogant some of the staff in the anchor bar was. I thought they would be pleased with the dollars in the till & be more friendly. Certainly wont be spending another penny in there & hope a few others spend there hard earned cas elswhere

MessagePorthcawl dosen't want tourists,go and have a look, the fair is going to be closed, campers are only wanted to spend there money and then must move on,the beach is dirty and rubish strewn as are the streets.Locals aren't happy unless they are having a moan about somebody or something, the seafront is only there for the selling of cars etc (must be a local untouchable) and watch out for local dog mess which is everywhere.Other than that enjoy yourselves ha ha.So Tourists Go Somewhere Else.

MessageI was suprised how clean the beach looked this summer. It was nice to see people enjoying the beach but I would like to see the fair a bit more presentable like it used to be when I went there as a kid.

I am looking forward to my wedding in the Hi Tide next year, wow what a difference they have made to that place. Let just hope it isnt raining!

MessageIt will be massive mistake to get rid of the fair, this and the beach are always the main pull for visitors to Porthcawl i make sure that i vist quite a few times a year and know lots of friends and family who do the same, most of us cant afford to go abroad or something and Porthcawl is and always has been perfect, it does need to be tidied up granted and the beach especially has been left to go down hill, but DONT TAKE AWAY WHAT MOST OF US LOVE, the authoritys always try to ruin things

MessageHankering back for how Porthcawl used to be!
How were they allowed to knock down the Esplanade Hotel and replace it with the eyesore that is there now? We remember having many enjoyable stays there over the years. Used to have a lovely restaurant. Probably won't come again for a long time. Need to know beach is cleaner than our last visit.
