MessageHi, i am a 17 year old boy from sweden. I am a sufferer of gynecomastia. I always gets comments about it and my friends alwas make fun of me without knowing how much they are hurting me inside. I always have to wear baggy clothes to hide it as much as possible. I recognized EVRERY problem in your documentary and that made me cry. Not because im sad, i see a solving of this shit now.

I haven't told anyone that i feel bad for this, i keep it inside. Not even my parents know how i feel, they havent seen me without a shirt for many years now i guess.

You have given me the strengt to speak about this and i am going to the hospital and hear what they have to say. I hope i will get surgery soon so i can enjoy the summer. Right now i dont want the summer to come. I dont want to wear t-shirt! And i cant either!

Thaks for giving me strength, i hope i will make it through this. All regards / A depressed boy from sweden.

Messagesmilie In India....gynecomastia is still looked upon as "nah nothing serious"...even the doctors dont usually consider surgery....and they say to keep it the way it is...why spend time..pain and money!!!
Only a sufferer like me knows what we people go thru...even if we tell our parents leave outsiders, they will 99% just crack jokes at it...so people i've seen with the condition like mine...never utter a word about it nor to us...or docs or parents.....
My gynecomastia was neglected for about 10 yrs...
In school and specially in college..the seniors would make me strip and press me breast...lick them...thinkn that i was a girl...just some muthafu*&kers...making fun with someones problems....this lead to me ending up in me dropping out of college and endin up in a psychiatric hospital for multiple suicide attempts... for many months...it was here that my gynecomastia was taken seriously...and im undergoin surgery in 2 months.
In india there are only 4 big metro cities...where people are open minded and progressive...im glad that im in one of these cities...in anyother place in india...i have checked they dont even know what gynecomastia is...even docs...my parents migrated to a metro from a backward place and hence always were blinded by backward beliefs...
But I was in Delhi(capital and a big metro) my whole life so had an open mind towards these things frm beginin just like people in developed countries...
I loved the documentry... smilie

MessageYou'll notice I was the 2nd person to sign this guest book. Well, as of four days ago, I have now completed my surgery. Yes, it hurts! Don't think the contrary. But, as long as you select a good doctor and follow your meds, you'll be okay. I am not bruising too badly, but there is swelling. It is hard to tell right now what the final product will be, but I'm glad I did it and now the mental and physical healing begins. Men, if you want this done, just do it! It is worth the pain of a few weeks over more years of mental anguish. I wouldn't want it any other way. Now I can go on with life, go outside to the beach, and no one will ever know it was looking another way before. GO GET THE SURGERY!! STOP CONVINCING YOURSELF OTHERWISE!!

MessageThe film was great and i hope it informs people.
Also i have done research on my "problem," and have not found any simple treatments for Gynecomastia. I dont have abnormally large breast, but have nipples that are bigger then normal and srink, when agitated. Are there any simple treatments to maybe stop it now.

thx

Messagecharles,

Thank you so much for doing this film. I am 43 and scheduled to have surgery on Feb. 5, 2007. It will be such a relief to not be worried everyday about my appearance. I am one of the fortunate few who have gotten 100% insurance coverage. I will be posting pics and comments on gynecomastia.org soon.

God bless you, bro... and thanks again for a GREAT film. smilie smilie

MessageHiCharles,
probably the first public video I ever saw with a first person account! excellent and brave job; congrats for your results and just to add, I had gynecomastia from 13 to 28 - until I underwent surgery. This voices my concerns and experiences - I agree.
