Thank you for the warm welcome, the wonderful food, and the beautiful ceremony and concert in honor of naming the Pro Loco after my father, Albert Porreca. We feel very blessed to have Torricellan roots and to count you all as family. We will come back as soon as we can. In the meantime, we await you in the States! Tanti Abbracci |

| Message | My grandmother was Maria Piccoli who married Nicolo Teti and came to the US shortly before 1900. They lived and were married in Torricella Peligne where their first child, a daughter named Antonia was born. I think they were married in the church of St. Cecila. My grandfather made chairs. I know there are a lot of Teti and Piccoli families in Torricella Peligne, but I am hoping just the same to connect with someone who knows of them. I have a picture of them with Antonia and with a son Vincenzo born here in the US which I will try to post on this site. My grandfather settled in first Mildred and then Bernice Pennsylvania after a short stay in Rome New York. My grandmother has family that settled in Utah. |

Every time I go on this web site I am amazed at how breathtaking the picture of the town is. To think my grandmother & grandfather walked these same streets before they came to America during the late 1800's. Blessed & Happy New Year to all.      |
