MessageWhat is the best way to purchase your music that is most profitable to the writers and artists?

Is iTunes a dirty word or what? smilie

MessageHi,

I was listening to your Essential Joboxers cd in the car today and decided to google your name - absolutely delighted to have found this site.

I was a big fan when you guys were around although too young to ever travel to see you play live. I can still remember Johnny Friendly on TOTP ever before I had seen the movie On The Waterfront.

I was wondering if there is a chance that you will release a DVD of your promo videos and TV performances - or better still of live performance.

Absolutely amazing that your music still sounds so fresh today.

MessageJust Got Lucky is the soundtrack of my teens. I was into alternative music, mostly UK artists, and when I heard this song in 1982 it was like "where did these guys come from and where can I get more ?" I had a casette a DJ made me and for years I was the King at parties because I had this song. JoBoxers create an energy, not just music. You guys are/were one instrument. That's how tight the sound is. Everyone else is cashing in on reunion tours, why not you ? Not for the money but to resurrect a masterful musical sound.

MessageBIG thanks to George H. Anderson & Jonathan Karp for keeping "Just Got Lucky" in the game on the 40-yr Old Virgin soundtrack.

Only after my second viewing of the DVD did I realize what a great song this is. I can't believe that it didn't get the attention it deserved in the 80's, and I didn't hear it until now. I certainly would have been on-board then too!

Just Got Lucky is sure to remain one of my fav's! smilie

MessageI remember the first time I heard Boxerbeat, as a spotty 14 yr old. It absolutely blew me away. Listened to it again via the Rhythm Sisters on Myspace and it did the same. Gonna have to go to my mothers and dig out my old vinyl, I remember I bought the album and all the singles and loved everything. Happy days, shame they were so short lived!
