MessageThis site is so great, ever since seeing EFNY when I was young I liked the way Snake stood up for himself but never bought into the world of corruption around him. He was never scared to die so he was not afraid to live either.
Snake was so smart and fast it was like he had seen it all before,so cool.
I wonder if Snake danced, how would that look?
Probably it would be cool.

MessageThis is by far the best webpage i have ever seen for our hero snake. Escape from new york has changed my life in so many ways. Its good to see that there are people like yourselves that care and honour snake. I somtimes dress up like snake and walk the streets but people here think im crazy! Where do you live? I might come and live with you if its ok? I wear a patch most times except when im riding my bike! I sometimes wonder if snake will ever come and save me.

He was a Cat. He was an iron bar fistloaded in a hard right hand. He was rough as a chisel and relentless as a jackhammer. He was Snake Plissken and he was running for all he was worth." - Mike McQuay

MessageEFNY is my favorite John Carpenter film and the best "in the future..." film ever made. I am saddened and sickened by the remake news. There is no Snake Plissken but Kurt Russell. Have you all heard who the director is? The lame brain who made the two UNDERWORLD films and who recently nearly destroyed the brilliance of the DIE HARD series by giving us the weakest of the series. Carpenter's film is full of brilliance form start to finish from the screenplay to the casting to the score. No one could ever touch that brilliance; not even Carpenter and Russell could do it again, as the sequel ESACAPE FROM L.A. was good but not perfect. Escape From New York is pure cinema magic and one of the ten best films ever made. I look forward to chatting up everyone out here!

MessageBeen hearing about a proposed remake of EFNY. I think there should be one more Snake adventure staring Kurt Russell, but on a much larger scale, like Clint Eastwood's 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' was to the Dollars trilogy. Then, Do a prequel with another, younger, actor, and then maybe down the road think about remakes.
