Messagesmilie I felt the need to let you know that your story about Jimmys' place had incorrect information. The family that was murdered was the "SAYRE" family. The man who murdered them, was not West Indian...He was French. His name was Antoine LaBlanc. He murdered the family on the date of May 11, 1833...Under normal circumstances, in that time era in Morristown, NJ...it was custom for a guilty criminal to be hanged and buried in an unmarked grave...However,they felt that Antoines crime was so horrific that they decided something more harsh for him. The judge ordered that LaBlanc was to be taken from the jail at 8:00am and taken to the gallows. There of course he would be hung until dead, after words his body was to be turned over to a pacific doctor for dissection and afterwards his skin was to be used to make wallets. In Morristown courthouse attic, they still possess the gallow in which he was hung. Instead of the usual trap door, his had a large heavy weight on the other end, which break your neck quicker. It has not been used since 1832. The New Jersey Historical Society really possess one of those human skinned wallets. It looks like pig skin. Its dark in color...Looks like any other wallet style from that time..Inside the flap of the wallet reads..."This book is made of the skin of Antoine LaBlanc. He was hung in 1836"...Under the opposite flap it reads, "Thou should do no murder.

MessageI'm looking through your vintage cookery photos and am getting a real kick out of them. No lie, I actually have (well, my mom does) the entire 1974 Betty Crocker recipe card library, complete with the cheery yellow plastic file box. I have looked through especially those children's party cards more times than I can count. And yes, even back in the 70's I did think some of them were lame and couldn't really imagine anyone making them. Some, though, were pretty cool. I know I had the rectangular cake with candy balloons on it for my second birthday party. (Mom has a pic of me climbing up onto the dining room table before the party to see the cake and pull the balloons off the chandelier.) I know I got the ladybug cake (made this for my daughter's 1st birthday too), zodiac cake, and train cake at some point. I also made the train cake for my daughter's 7th bday...turned it into the Hogwarts Express.

One question: I love coffee and would like to at least try the coffee jello card. Do you have a scan of the recipe side? Thanks, and have a great day.
