| Message | Hi Cindy-
I'm a student in your mom's MIS 201 class and you are very lucky to have such a supportive mom. She reminds me of my mom because we lost my only brother to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ACL)in 1996. My mom took an early retirement as well to stay home with him during his chemotherapy treatments. He was only 17 when he passed away, and it was and still is very difficult for our entire family.
I admire your courage and strength and pray that you receive the best treatment and care you need. I know what it's like to want others to share your passion for a cure or treatment. I was a bone marrow donor for my brother before he passed and it was acutually successful, but he developed complications after the surgery (phneumonia) and he didn't make it.
I believe that God has a purpose for everything in life even when we don't understand. You are an example of what it means to continue a journey on a path not chosen but destined. I admire your courage and determination to acknowledge that you still have a purpose to fulfill even on an unexpected path.
I think your mom is by far one of the most intelligent women I've ever met (I'm not just saying that either). I just admire how she soared at Anthem Insurance in a shark pool full of men.
The most important lesson I've learned from your mom is to use your brain to make the best of any situation and always have a plan B, it may just turn out to be more rewarding. |
