| Message | Very convenient location - room clean and comfortable. Could do with coffee/tea in rooms so that you don't have to carry your cups up four flights of stairs! Main reception area and hallways could do with an update - lick of paint, tape removing from edges of stair carpet and more inviting seating, we were probably spoilt with the B+B Edinburgh style and beautiful architecture! Both main reception staff were friendly and welcoming but the breakfast staff (like in Edinburgh) need training to understand what customer service is all about. The girl taking orders for breakfasts was very perfunctory with her explanations/ instructions regarding breakfast options, nodding at guests to indicate where the menus were and none of the breakfast staff we saw, smiled or engaged in a friendly manor with visitors (also commented on by our fellow guests at the next table) English may not be everyone's first language but a smile is understood by all! The breakfast itself was very good. Would probably stay here again though as main reception staff were very helpful and - great location. |
